Symptoms of general effects may include nausea, lethargy, swelling of the face, itching and difficulty breathing. In rare cases, the cat may get a severe allergic shock.
What can you do yourself?
If the cat has been stung by a wasp, the sting should be carefully removed and the bite washed. Depending on whether the bite itches a lot and its location, a collar may sometimes need to be used. Sometimes itchy preparations are necessary.
When should a veterinarian be consulted?
If the cat is generally affected after the sting / sting, or is stung in the mouth, a veterinarian should be contacted. This is especially true if the cat has previously been shown to be hypersensitive to insect bites.
