We have two 15-year-old female cats.
One has changed a lot in the last six months.
She wants to be extremely close at all times (otherwise she wanders around aimlessly).
At night she wants to sit on the pillow and have her nose against my nose, does not work so well…
When she is alone, she sits on the bed or sofa with her head against the wall or headboard. She has also become slimmer.
All these “qualities” are quite the opposite of how she has always been before.
I’m wondering if she’s bad or is getting senile?
There are diseases that can cause similar changes but there can also be problems with senility.
If she has become thinner, I definitely think you should see a veterinarian to examine your cat and take samples.
The disease that is mainly thought of is thyroid disease (hyperthyroidism).
