Hey!

I have two cats, both females, one just over 1 year old and the other one 5 months old.

They are very good friends, wash each other, sleep together, play together, etc.

They share a litter box in the bathroom, and I usually have a bathroom rug there, but as soon as it arrives, one of them pees on it (have not had time to see which of them it is).

I wash it, put it back and the same thing happens again.

Have also stopped having it there for 2-3 weeks, but when I put it back there again, one of them marks it almost immediately.

I clean the box often.

None of them pee in any other place than the box, except when the carpet arrives.

I also have carpet in the hall but nobody has touched that.

Is there something wrong with the cat or is it the carpet that is perceived as a “toilet”?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you so much for a wonderful website!
