Hey!
We have a stray cat that came to us in February.
We looked for the owner but no one knew him. He was not marked and had no necklace, we waited for two months before we put on his necklace and now he is marked, vaccinated and neutered.
He is wonderful and we love him! He pees on the box and is room clean. We live in the countryside and he is not a barn cat just who knows all this.
He also does not like any food at all but now we know what he likes.
He is inside most, sleeping and playing.
At night he sleeps inside and he cuddles all day.
Do you think we did the right thing or the wrong thing?
Hey!
I always get just as happy when I read sunshine stories as this one. Of course, I think you did the right thing by giving the little kitten a home.
If you did everything you could to track down the right owner without finding him / her, there was nothing more you could do on that front.
I myself have encountered the same story a number of years ago and did exactly the same. Unfortunately, it happens all too often that people dump cats a bit everywhere, so it is probably in this case as well as in mine.
Your cat has clearly shown that he has lived inside before, as did mine. I wish there were more people who acted like you!
Unfortunately, too many cats get sick in our society so it warms the heart that this little one has got a good and loving home.
Greet the cat from me. Good luck!
