Hey!
I have a female cat who is 7 years old.
She was diagnosed with kidney disease a little more than a year ago.
Her value is about 280 I have for me.
Goes on kidney feed and medicine for high blood pressure / protein in the urine.
Now, however, she has received kidney stones as well.
Changed feed temporarily to counteract this.
Started vomiting about 1 month ago and eats poorly from time to time.
Been and checked the kidney value and it is stable.
She previously weighed 2.9 kg.
Now down to 2.35 kg. Must make her gain weight.
Do you have any advice on how I can help her?
Hey Lorraine!
Contact your veterinarian to discuss how to treat her stomach problems.
That she has lost so much weight is worrying and it is important that she gets help with her poor appetite and receives treatment for the vomiting.
It is not uncommon for cats with kidney disease to have stomach problems and medical treatment for gastritis may be necessary.
Your veterinarian can prescribe medication that is appropriate for your cat.
