Hey, The Cat Advisor!
Thanks for an awesome blog. I really enjoy your posts.
I have two male cats at eleven and a half months.
I will go and castrate them soon and wonder how they will be the time immediately after the castration.
I have heard that they get a little “dizzy” and nausea after the procedure, will they be that for a long time?
Then I have another question, it is the case that my cats now weigh ten pounds each and I travel a lot with them.
We usually travel by train.
The cats go in the same cage and it is now starting to get a little heavy to carry them, and they gain weight well after the neutering as well. Will they gain a lot of weight moving forward?
Thankful for any answer!
Sincerely
Rick
Hey, Rick!
Normally, cats have a “hangover” after anesthesia in young. one day. If it takes longer than that, contact your veterinarian.
Whether they gain weight after castration depends on you.
You should remember that the activity level drops a lot after a castration, and they therefore do not need as much food.
You can get some good advice on feeding from your veterinarian.
Sincerely
Nabil
