After completing the treatment, the worm is gone.
It dies immediately from the wormer.
When deworming, be sure to empty the litter box completely every day.
It is not usually stated in the instructions for use, but some worm eggs and larvae can come with the poop out and not be dead, if you then leave the box empty, the cat can get on its paws and lick itself again.
I clean the drawers before deworming and fill it with some sand and empty every day and clean the drawers.
