Kittens sleep very much, almost as if you think they sleep around the clock for some periods. But as they get bigger, that will change.
You can start giving birth control pills to a cat after the second time she runs, but do not let her use them for too long, as it gives some side effects.
You can sterilize / castrate her when she is around a year old.
