Hey!
My cat of 11 and a half years has started to limp.
It’s the left front paw that she does not really put weight on.
The lameness occurs only when she has been lying still for a while, after a moment of mobility you see how the lameness gradually disappears.
We have tried to feel her paws, from the claws up to the shoulder blades, where it can hurt, but then she shows no signs of pain but looks back most questioningly.
Is this something that should be checked out or could it be some kind of stretch that goes away by itself?
It depends on how long it has been going on. If she has been lame for more than a week and you do not see any improvement, a veterinarian should be consulted so that she can be examined and then treated for her problems.
