Hey!
I have a ragdoll / Persian cat that sneezes a little now and then.
A couple of times a day.
She eats both dry and wet food and is an indoor cat and has never met any other cats since she came to me.
She has been vaccinated for feline plague and feline cold once and just got her second injection today and then the vet said she looked healthy… but can her sneezing be a sign of illness?
I can add that sometimes her breathing sounds a little strange, a bit like a mini snoring when she sleeps… should I be worried?
Thankful for any answers.
Hello,
Since you have just been to the vet and he thought your cat looked healthy, I think you can wait a couple of days to see if it works.
If it does not go away on its own or if it gets worse, I think you should take her back to the vet again for a proper checkup but focus on the airways.
Your cat has the breed Persian in it, they have a flat face (brachycephal) which unfortunately often leads to a narrow nose and airways.
This is probably what makes your cat sound strange and snore.
It could also be this that causes the sneezing.
Without having seen your cat, I can unfortunately not give you more answers than this.
Wish you all the best with your new kitten!
