Hello!
I have just neutered my female cat and she seems to be in terrible pain when she moves.
What painkillers can be given to a cat? Have heard from a nurse that you can give 50-75 mg of Magnecyl. (Acetylsalicylic acid)
Is it true? Have searched and searched online but have not found any regulations.
Dare not give her anything until I have found some advice.
Thankful for a reply,
Sandra
Hey Sandra!
DO NOT give cats Magnecyl, Aspirin or codeine.
They are life-threatening, even deadly to cats.
You should contact your veterinarian about which painkillers you can give.
My advice is that you contact the vet and ask him / her to print something or give advice. You should be very careful with painkillers for cats.
Actually, there are no completely safe painkillers for cats.
Good luck. I wish you the best.
