We have a male cat who has liked a wild cat (female) who has had cubs, she usually eats inside with us, but you can not touch her and if you move too much in the room she runs out.
We are going to neuter our cat now, but what do we do with the female?
If we catch her, we can castrate her too, or give her a syringe so she falls asleep, but it is completely impossible to get hold of her.
What do you do?
Hey!
The wildcat female already has cubs? How old are they?
I would try to win the trust of the wildcat female and have her neutered.
Gaining her trust will take time, but you have started this procedure by her coming in and eating with you.
Catching her would scare her, and this will take time.
My advice is to neuter your male cat as you planned and try to gain confidence in the wildcat female.
Once you get it so she lets you touch her, pat her etc… let her get used to you.
When she’s done – then you can castrate her.
You might get another cat, but it might be worth it…
Good luck!
