Hey!
We have a female cat that is approximately one year old.
We bought two cats together, but one became ill and died after a short time.
We have not noticed any signs of grief in her.
We wonder if she is unhappy without a cat friend?
She is not alone very much, a maximum of two days a week.
This is because we both work in shifts.
We are confused about getting another cat.
Can you give some advice?
Regarding whether your cat needs company.
Now that she does not seem to be sad, there is of course no reason to get another cat — if you absolutely do not necessarily want another cat yourself.
I think it seems that you are writing, that she is happy and not at all depressed. She does not seem to be very lonely either.
She may also think it’s nice to get all the attention now that the other cat has sadly passed away.
Especially if it might not be so good between them or if she was the lowest in rank.
Keep an eye on her because it may not be noticeable at once but only after a while. Keep taking care of her, and as I said, there seems to be no reason to get another cat.
At least not now and after what you write. Good luck!
