My two cats have a cat door that they use a lot.
For a couple of months now, a stray cat has also started using it.
My cat insults him loudly as he approaches our house. My question is:
Why does this guest insist on visiting us when he hears that the hosts do not like it?
Hey Eve!
The fact that the stray cat visits you despite protests from your own cats can be due to a lot.
Could it be that it has no home of its own and is looking for a new one?
Maybe it’s thrown out and used to going in and out through the hatch and thinks it can go home when it goes in to you.
It is probably hungry and frantically searching for its home or a home. There must be something strong that drives it to this.
It continues to go in despite being so opposed by your cats.
I do not think it does it just because it wants to tease your cats.
A cat fight can be life and death and no cat exposes itself to it, this cat does just for fun.
You get to keep an eye on the cat and see if you see it around you often.
If it looks like it was homeless, put up notes in the store and report to the police that a cat has been found.
Check with neighbors if they know who the cat is.
My theory is that the cat is thrown out and abandoned otherwise it would not behave like this.
Good luck!
