Hey!
I wonder why the cat has better balance and better hearing than the human?
The cat’s anatomy is almost identical to ours, so what’s the secret?
I also wonder how a deaf cat copes?
I’ve heard they use sign language, much like us.
Thanks in advance for an answer.
The cat’s anatomy is now not very similar to that of humans.
For example: Cats have a slightly longer spine than we do – about four swirls more than we do!
It is e.g. therefore cats can wash themselves in the buttocks with the tongue, something that would get us a herniated disc, if we just tried 🙂
When cats have better hearing and balance, it is because they were originally developed into a different way of life than us, who are so-called omnivorous animals, whereas cats are only carnivorous hunters.
The cat’s hearing uses it, among other things, to brighten up to prey, and the balance uses it in the attack, among other things.
People have also been hunters, but it was in groups, and it requires other ability.
Deaf cats cope with the other senses, especially sight, and are often highly respected by other cats, who think the deaf cat is very “tough”, because it does not react to grunts and growls.
