Hey!
We have a cat named Alfons, he will be four years old this summer.
He is (normally) out during the day but always comes in at night and sleeps inside.
Since we got him, he’s never been out one night.
Now he’s gone! The last time we saw him was on Saturday 24/3.
He is neutered and has a necklace.
Two months ago, we moved to a quiet residential area where our cat seems to thrive.
He was inside for two weeks before he was allowed to go out.
Is it common for cats to “change their patterns” and run away like my cat has done?
What can you do?
Hey!
Hopefully Alfons has gone on a reconnaissance on his new territory… even a neutered male is usually curious about the surroundings.
Walk around and attract him in possible and impossible places.
He may have been frightened by something so he may not dare to come forward / go home.
If he then hears a familiar voice, he can probably come forward.
Try putting up notes and looking for him, he may have disappeared! Right now, that’s probably the only thing you can do. Ev. you can contact the police if they have received a report of a found cat.
I hope you find him again!
If he comes back, feel free to write and tell him!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
